Dunn Rite Splash and Shoot Basketball Set

The platform of my pool is very high on the end where the basketball hoop is, so I need one that is adjustable and can be set much lower than most allow. This one is adjustable, has a smaller base that completely fits on the platform (our old one had a very long base I had to support with plywood), and has a sturdy plastic backboard. My previous one had a clear plexiglass backboard that looked great, but cracked from the Texas heat, and the metal frame for the plexiglass rusted from our salt pool. I took several reviewer's advice and spray painted all the metal parts of this one with clear Rust-Oleum and let them dry for a day before assembling it so it will last longer. The hoop kit arrived when they said it would, and the assembly instructions were very easy to follow. It's also very sturdy. I've had it for a month so far and am very happy with it.

My first attempt at assembly did not go well in large part due to my not reading the instructions carefully. I used wrong bolts putting arm together and could not undue since I damaged the arm in the process. I called customer service and in 3 days I had a new arm and hardware no questions asked. After following directions carefully I had no problem but getting the rim and backboard attached to the arm is definitely a two person job.

We were able to order the Splash & Shoot set with ease from Sunplay. Our order was delivered within the expected time frame. Our Grandsons are enjoying their Splash & Shoot Basketball set almost on a daily basis while enjoying both it and their pool!
