Quality Pool Basketball Hoop

Recently I had to replace my in ground basketball hoop after the frame had completely rusted through due to having a salt water pool. It was a challenge to find a compatible hoop where the anchors were 16" on center. Was able to talk to an SR Smith sales rep and they suggested the BASK-CHA-16. I was able to see photos on the internet, but did not know how sturdy the backboard was. The hoop kit seemed a bit pricy but I went ahead and took the chance on buying it. After installing the new hoop, I'm very impressed with the quality and construction. All the rustable metal parts are wrapped in vinyl and the anchor poles are made of stainless steel. The acrylic backboard is about a 1/2 inch thick and very durable. The hoop really looks great and is a welcomed upgrade from my previous model. I was a bit disappointed with the shiny silver plastic estuations that cover the anchors, but seeing the family and friends play with the new hoop helped to overcome any buyers remorse. I feel like this hoop should last for years to come.
